Animal Friends for Education and Welfare
A.F.E.W. is not a shelter, but rather a network of foster homes that provide housing and socialization of our "customers", the animals, until we can find them a home.
A.F.E.W. also works to raise public awareness of animal issues. We promote public education in fostering respect, understanding and care for all animals, as well as special emphasis on spaying and neutering to help stop pet overpopulation.
Companion Critters, Inc., is a 501(c)(3), all volunteer, non-profit New Jersey corporation, founded on September 17, 2000 to help save animals on death row in shelters and pounds.
To date, hundreds of homeless pets have been saved. All animals are put into foster homes where their behavior, likes and dislikes are evaluated. This provides you with important information which will better help match a pet to your lifestyle.
All pets adopted from Companion Critters will be spayed or neutered before they are released to new homes. In addition to our rescue efforts, we actively promote and provide low cost spaying and neutering services for both owned and feral animals. Our goal is to be part of the solution of pet overpopulation.
Boy Scouts of America, Central New Jersey Council
The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America -- incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916 --
is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of
participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.
Central New Jersey Council accepts donations of used vehicles to support local Scouting. All donated vehicles will be sold and the proceeds will be used to directly benefit the Central New Jersey Council. This is a great way to support Scouting. One call from you and we will handle the rest, including pick up of your vehicle. We can accept vehicles from anywhere in the country, so let you family and friends know.
Childhood Leukemia Foundation
The Childhood Leukemia Foundation is a national non-profit organization that provides a myriad of services – totally free of charge - to children battling cancer and their families. We work closely with social workers, care providers, families and loved ones to also provide meaningful information, dispensed in a practical manner befitting their challenging lifestyles. Our goal is to help children and families living with cancer by assisting them in managing their care and improving the quality of their lives. The Childhood Leukemia Foundation seeks to simplify otherwise taxing responsibilities using programs that are designed to educate and entertain while undergoing treatment.
Childhood Leukemia Foundation utilizes the proceeds from its' Auto Donation Program to help raise much-needed funds for CLF's Program Services. The generosity of those individuals donating their used vehicles has helped to provide financial assistance and much needed services for our special children and their families.
Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America
The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cure for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It was founded in 1967 by Irwin M. and Suzanne Rosenthal, William D. and Shelby Modell, and Henry D. Janowitz, M.D.
Four decades ago, the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation created the field of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis research. Today, the Foundation funds cutting-edge studies at major medical institutions, nurtures investigators at the early stages of their careers, and finances underdeveloped areas of research. Educational workshops and symposia, together with our scientific journal, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, enable medical professionals to keep pace with this rapidly growing field. No wonder the National Institutes of Health has commended the Foundation for "uniting the research community and strengthening IBD research."
If you're thinking of selling or trading in your old car, boat, or RV, why not donate it instead? Donation is easy -- and tax-deductible, too

Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions. From our humble beginnings with one boy’s wish to be a police officer, we’ve evolved into an organization that grants a child’s wish in the U.S. every 40 minutes. A network of nearly 25,000 volunteers enable the Make-A-Wish Foundation to serve children with life-threatening medical conditions. Volunteers serve as wish granters, fundraisers, special events assistants and in numerous other capacities.
