LIFE Elder Care Inc.
LIFE Elder Care Inc.
Virginia Carlson of Fremont began LIFE ElderCare in 1975 as a nutritional program with delivery to Fremont's frail, homebound seniors. Meals were prepared and packaged at a local school kitchen and delivered by a group of volunteers. That first year of service, some 300 meals were provided and today, Meals on Wheels at LIFE ElderCare provides over 350 meals per day to frail, homebound seniors and individuals with disabilities living in Fremont, Newark and Union City.

Support LIFE ElderCare by donating your vehicle. Cars, boats, trucks and vans are all welcome, working or not. Let us deal with the paperwork and vehicle removal while you receive the tax benefit!

Orange County United Way
Orange County United Way
Orange County United Way is in the business of making sustainable change to people’s lives. We have evolved to clearly identify the most important issues in our community, establish focused strategic plans for dealing with these issues and fund programs and partnerships that are aligned to accomplish our key strategies. Established methods of measuring outcomes enables us to understand the impact we are having and helps us to gauge how we need to adjust our strategies to assure the most efficient and effective use our donor dollars. I am proud to have been a part of the evolutionary changes and continue to provide strong support for Orange County United Way.

Before you think about selling your car, think about how it could help somebody in need. Somebody you might even know. By donating your car, boat or RV to Orange County United Way, you can drive someone happy, right in your own community. The proceeds of your tax-deductible donation will fund programs for men, women and children in need through efficient local charities. So, if you want to help others help themselves, while helping yourself to a nice tax deductio.

Project Impact
Project Impact
Providing youth and their families the tools to help them survive and thrive in a hostile environment through five core services; Juvenile Diversion Counseling; School Drop-out Prevention; Job Training; Parent Education; and Mentor Follow-up.

Project IMPACT USA's vision is to implement a national model of reconciliation that reduces youth violence by creating over 500 new IMPACT Centers in our most "at-risk" communities across the United States.

Do you have a vehicle - especially a window van that is in good working condition that you no longer need or any property that you would like to leave to a charity? Contact Mrs.Willie Cartwright by E-mail or call Toll Free: (888) 242-2778 at Project IMPACT USA to discuss your donation.

Project Mexico
Project Mexico
Since 1988, Project Mexico has been involving young people in the alleviation of suffering by building homes for Mexico's poor. In 1996 our outreach expanded through the opening of St. Innocent Orthodox Orphanage in Tijuana which provides a home for teenage boys who live on the streets or who have been put out of other orphanages and would otherwise be left to fend for themselves. In operation only six years, it was named one of the top three institutions in the state for 2001. St. Innocent Orphanage is the only facility dedicated to teenage boys in Tijuana and one of only four in the entire country of Mexico.

This charitable outreach is unique because our very own people do the work. In the process, their lives are changed. This proven, powerful vehicle of change has provided a fertile environment for thousands of youth to grow in Christ and give of themselves by doing works of mercy for a needy world. Volunteers from 43 of 50 states and eleven foreign countries have participated. Additionally, we hope to continue strengthening the ties between the people of the U.S. and Mexico and be an example of how we can help each other when we work together.

Thank you for thinking of us and the children and families whom we help. Our program relies on the generosity of individuals. When you donate, you allow us to provide hope to more families without homes and more children without families. Vehicle donations are turned into funds to build more homes for families and take more boys off the streets. The average non-profit has administrative costs from 20% - 50%. Our administrative costs for last year were 17%. This means that eighty-three cents of every dollar goes directly to programs and services.

Donating your vehicle also gives you a great tax break and frees you of the hassle of selling a car - advertisements, strangers visiting your home, phone calls, haggling, etc.

Project Open Hand
Project Open Hand
In 1985 in San Francisco, Ruth Brinker, a retired grandmother, watched a dear friend die of AIDS. She realized that for many people with HIV/AIDS, malnutrition was causing death as much as the illness itself. At that time, no social service agency was providing meals to those too weak from AIDS or too impoverished to feed themselves. Using her experience as a manager with another food program, Ruth enlisted the help of her friends, secured a basement kitchen at a local church and began to serve meals to seven clients, Project Open Hand was born.

As more people heard about Ruth's "project" more requests started coming in for home-delivered meals and Ruth put out a call for volunteers. Project Open Hand has not stopped growing since.

Donate a car, van, truck, RV, boat, or even plane to Project Open Hand and help yourself to a fair-market-value tax deduction. You will also save yourself the time and expense of selling it. There are two organizations that handle this. Either visit the Vehicle Donation Processing Center website to donate a car or call them at (800) 553-3018, or call Charity Connection at (800) 772-4274 and mention that you would like to donate your vehicle on behalf of Project Open Hand. Both organizations will pick up the vehicle, handle the necessary paperwork, sell it and give the proceeds to Project Open Hand.

Redwood Empire Food Bank
Redwood Empire Food Bank
The mission of the Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB) is to build partnerships to end hunger. Founded in 1987, REFB is Sonoma County's largest hunger-relief organization. We acquire food and distribute it through a network of charitable agencies and our own food assistance programs, and also provide food to Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte Counties through five smaller food banks. In addition, the REFB advocates for effective legislation that will provide long-term solutions to hunger in our community.

Thank you for your interest in donating a vehicle to the Redwood Empire Food Bank. We're happy to say that we have bolstered vital programs through funding obtained by this vehicle donation program. Your donation helps us increase contributions to the public good! Thank you for your donation.
