Charities that benefit children
This section contains a list of charities you can donate cars to who will use that donation to help children. Since kids don't drive cars generally the vehicles are sold and the proceeds used to help fund the charity.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving Maryland
MADD is a 501(c)(3) non-profit grass roots organization with more than 600 chapters nationwide.
MADD is not a crusade against alcohol consumption - MADD's mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking.
Easter Seals Virginia
Nationwide, as many as 54 million Americans have a disability. Maybe your neighbor has an injury resulting from a motor vehicle accident, or your coworker has a child with cerebral palsy. Your grandmother may be recovering from stroke -- or maybe you are one of every five Americans with a disability. Look around you, and you'll find people of all abilities who are vital participants in their communities despite the barriers they may encounter.
The barriers, physical or otherwise, people with disabilities face begin with people's attitudes -- attitudes often rooted in misinformation and misunderstanding. Easter Seals provides answers to help everyone create solutions that change lives... maybe even their own.
Children's Restoration Network
Children's Restoration Network (CRN) is a non-profit agency focusing on the plight of homeless children in our community. In addition to meeting basic needs, CRN conducts special events to provide a broad range of positive experiences for the children and their mothers to promote healthy and happy community interaction.
During its productive ten-year history, CRN has dedicated its efforts to fulfilling its mission and vision statements working with over 85 homeless shelters throughout metro-Atlanta, serving over 1,500 children each day. While children are our main focus, we also realize that assisting the mother is usually the best way to help the child. Programs are therefore directed towards both children and their mothers to ease their transition through homelessness.
Donate your car, truck or boat, and receive a tax deduction and help CRN at the same time!
Charity Auto Donations, Inc. is the contracted agent for Children's Restoration Network and more than 150 local and national charities and churches. We will pick up the vehicle free of charge, and sell the vehicle. All donated items are 100% tax deductible. The IRS allows you to deduct the fair market value of your vehicle. Vehicles accepted, running or non-running (with some exceptions.) From the net proceeds, 60% to 70% is distributed to the Charity.
Georgia AGAPE is a licenced christian adoption agency serving unplanned pregnant women in Georgia since 1970.
You now have the opportunity to donate your car, truck, boat, RV or motor home to Georgia AGAPE. You will receive a full tax deduction for the fair market value.
To donate your car, etc, you need to go through our agent, Charity Auto Donations. They will handle all aspects of the transaction. You just need to tell them you want the proceeds to go to Georgia AGAPE.
Unlike other car donation programs, AGAPE will receive the majority of the proceeds. In most other car donation programs, the agent who handles the transaction get about 90% of the proceeds. With AGAPE's agent, we will usually get over 50%. Costs that will be deducted from what comes to AGAPE are auction fees, towing (if applicable) and a modest handling fee that goes to Charity Auto Donations. This is a great deal for AGAPE and for our donors!
Charity Auto Donations serves the following areas in Georgia: metro Atlanta, Macon, Columbus, Savannah, and Tifton.
Lekotek of Georgia
Children with disabilities struggle to interact with family members and participate in school and community activities. That's why we're here. Lekotek facilitates successful inclusion in all aspects of life.
The word "Lekotek" comes from the Swedish work "lek," meaning play, and the Greek suffix "tek" meaning library. Loosely translated, Lekotek means play library, but to the hundreds of families we help, it is much more. Using adapted toys and computer equipment, Lekotek provides opportunities for children to have fun and learn along the way. It is a safe haven from medical appointments and therapies. It is a place where there are no expectations to perform, a place where parents find resources and support.
Car, Truck, Boat, and RV Donations
If you have an old car, truck, boat, or RV that you'd like to unload, let DonateACar.com do the work. You receive a charitable tax deduction and Lekotek benefits in the form of cash from the sale.
Bethany Christian Services
Bethany Christian Services began in 1944 as the fulfillment of a dream shared by two young women, Marguerite Bonnema and Mary DeBoer, who wanted to establish a Christian residence for homeless children. With the assistance of businessman Andrew VanderVeer, they established the Bethany Home. Their humble ministry has grown into an international team of nearly 900 dedicated professionals actively ministering to children and families.
Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Bethany is a not-for-profit, pro-life, Christian adoption and family services agency. Bethany's support comes through reimbursement for services, and from gifts received from individuals, churches, corporations, and foundations that share Bethany's commitment to improving the lives of children and families. With over 75 locations nationwide and international ministries in 15 other countries, Bethany touches the lives of more than 30,000 people each year.
Bethany is widely known as an adoption agency, but our Christian care extends to people struggling with unplanned pregnancies, infertility, and a multitude of other challenges. For more than sixty years, Bethany has responded with compassion, integrity, and commitment to the needs of children and families.
