Proceeds from the sale of your unwanted vehicle will enable us to help people every day to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies in the following ways: Local disaster response, Preparedness and life safety training, Collection and processing of lifesaving blood for Connecticut’s hospitals and acute care facilities, Services for Connecticut’s military families, and International communication and tracing services
Autism Society of America
The Autism Society, the nation’s leading grassroots autism organization, exists to improve the lives of all affected by autism. We do this by increasing public awareness about the day-to-day issues faced by people on the spectrum, advocating for appropriate services for individuals across the lifespan, and providing the latest information regarding treatment, education, research and advocacy.
Automobile donations are an incredibly fast and easy way to help the Autism Society. Your car donations help support our vital work and are an easy way for you to get rid of an unwanted vehicle.

Friends of Children with Special Needs
Friends of Children with Special Needs is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support, friendship, and life skills training to developmentally disabled individuals and their families. FCSN started out in 1996 with 10 families, and has now membership of 800 mostly Asian American families, serving over 600 individuals with autism, Down's syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other developmental disabilities. In response to the needs of the growing special needs population, FCSN opened its Headquarter in Fremont in September 2006 and a Center in West San Jose/Cupertino in April 2008. We have over 35 programs in the Bay Area serving children and adults with special needs.
FCSN has established a vehicle donation program with an outside corporation to accept charity car, boat or RV.
For tax purposes, the car donor can claim tax deduction from either the sale price of the donated vehicle or $500, whichever is larger, in their income tax return. For example, in the 28% tax bracket, a sale price of $4800 will give you a tax credit of $1344. Therefore, your donation is equivalent to selling your car at a value of $1344 and at the same time, FCSN will benefit from your donation. Amount of tax deduction will differ for each donor. Please check with you tax advisor to see how this tax deduction can benefit you.
Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions. From our humble beginnings with one boy’s wish to be a police officer, we’ve evolved into an organization that grants a child’s wish in the U.S. every 40 minutes. A network of nearly 25,000 volunteers enable the Make-A-Wish Foundation to serve children with life-threatening medical conditions. Volunteers serve as wish granters, fundraisers, special events assistants and in numerous other capacities.
Queens Centers for Progress
Queens Centers for Progress is made up of people working together to promote the independence of individuals with developmental disabilities. We play many different roles, but each of the agency’s more than 600 staff members is focused on this same goal.
Our services include education, therapy, job training and placement, day programs, advocacy, service coordination, housing, and many other support services to help people with developmental disabilities lead fuller lives.
Donating a vehicle you no longer use to QCP could be tax deductible. In addition, you will be helping QCP generate needed funds when we sell it to a responsible broker.
