Our center works to help those on the autism spectrum through support, recreation and education to work toward the goal of leading full and productive lives. Our center is committed to raising public awareness about autism spectrum disorders, and devoted to empowering families and lessening the isolation.

Friends of Autistic People is a parents' support group dedicated to bringing about an environment where adult children with autism can be assured of receiving high-quality care and assistance after they turn 21. We seek for our children a life that would allow them to make choices, live as independently as possible, have access to all aspects of the community, hold jobs and become participating members of society.

|American Red Cross Greensboro North Carolina Chapter|
The Greensboro Chapter of the American Red Cross received its charter on April 20, 1917, and since that time has performed as an integral part of the American Red Cross. The chapter is part of a non-profit organization made up of nearly 650 chapters which are governed by a national volunteer board. There are more than 1,500 American Red Cross offices throughout the U.S. which include chapter headquarters and branches. Committees oversee the programs of the chapter and utilize direct service volunteers to perform the ongoing functions. The paid staff of the chapter, led by the Executive Director, compliments the work of the volunteers by providing continuity, support and guidance. The Greensboro Chapter is one of 100+ regional chapters around the country.
