Rocky Mountain Candlelighters for Childhood Cancer was founded in the 1970s by parents of children with cancer who felt there were inadequate services for their families. The first services offered were paraprofessional self-help support groups at Primary Children’s Medical Center. The hospital supported the early years of the organization, including paying staff for the Candlelighters director and patient coordinator. In 1996, Candlelighters was incorporated a non-profit corporation in Utah.

Chartered in 1978, Candelighters was founded by two families, each of whom had a child being treated for cancer. They believed that families could find strength, knowledge and comfort by banding together during difficult times. They wanted to use their experience and resources to lessen the burden of families they knew would follow. Since that time, Candlelighters has assisted over 2,000 families.

Childhood Leukemia Foundation utilizes the proceeds from its' Auto Donation Program to help raise much-needed funds for CLF's Program Services. The generosity of those individuals donating their used vehicles has helped to provide financial assistance and much needed services for our special children and their families.
We are the dLife Foundation. Our goal is to promote education and motivation for people with diabetes, particularly children with diabetes, in order to empower them to take control and live a healthy, long life. Our focus is less clinical and scientific, and more about the psychological, social and emotional challenges of diabetes.
